China mine blast kills 42

At least 42 people have been confirmed dead and 66 others still trapped underground following a gas explosion that rocked a government-owned coal mine in China’s Heilongjian province.
Rescue workers are rushing into the Xinxking mine to pull to safety the 66 other workers belieed to be trapped underground. A total of 528 people were working in the mine when the explosion occured at 2:30 a.m.
The Chinese government said 389 workers went out of the mine safely after the blast and 31 others were rescued.
