NPA ‘amazon’ nabbed in Cebu

Elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) 7 and the Intelligence Division of the Armed Forces Central Command (CentCom) arrested a suspected member of the New People’s Army (NPA) who was already working as a manager of an establishment in the city.
CIDG 7 Director Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar said authorities arrested Dorothy Paraiso, 44, inside the establishment she was working with along P. Del Rosario yesterday, in line with a rebellion case filed against her.
Paraiso was allegedly involved in the December 12, 2002 attack in the town of Carmen that resulted to the death of three policemen from the Regional Mobile Group. Paraiso, together with her cohorts, was charged with multiple murder that was later upgraded to rebellion.
Armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 25 Judge Edito Enemecio of Danao City, combined elements of the CIDG 7 and CentCom arrested Paraiso yesterday.
Paraiso refused to give to comment to the media saying she will let her lawyer handle the charges filed against her. #
